Sprechen Sie “Green Energy”? ¡No Más!
Consider the Green Energy experiments of Spain, Germany and Australia: Why would any thinking person embark down that same road? Continue reading

Our President Needs a Science Lesson
Of his new plan to address climate change, President Obama says: This plan will cut the dangerous carbon pollution that contributes to climate change. For years, groups like the American Lung Association have warned us that carbon pollution threatens our … Continue reading
Nonexistent Frog Endangers Private Property Rights
St. Tammany Parish, across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans, is one of the highest-growth parishes (counties) in Louisiana. The Poitevent family is the largest landowner in the parish. As it turns out, 1,500 acres of the family holdings are considered … Continue reading

Three Storm Chasers Among Victims of OKC Tornado
I don’t understand storm chasers. At least The Flying Wallendas have the laws of physics on their side. A 150 mph wind (as in Friday’s EF-3) has eight times the destructive power of 75 mph hurricane-force winds, not to mention the hazard of flying debris. You cannot have a close encounter with a EF-3 or higher storm and expect to walk away. Continue reading
Big Ethanol’s @TheOilyBird Gets Dewormed
It’s one of the cheesiest anti-oil PR campaigns I’ve seen: a “promoted” twitter account called @TheOilyBird, a snarky oil company h8r. Enviros and greenies retweet @TheOilyBird’s oil industry bashing, without bothering to look at its source. As it turns out, … Continue reading
Kennedy, Unhinged
If you shut your eyes for just a moment while reading this latest HuffPo post by Robert Kennedy, Jr., you can almost hear the gobs of spittle smacking his monitor as he wrote. Continue reading

Endangered Species a Victim of Brazilian Deforestation: Could Global Warming be to Blame?
Once plentiful to the point of being considered a nuisance, sightings of Pthirus pubis in its natural habitat are said to be fewer in number than at any time in recorded history. As reported in The Guardian (UK), scientists report that … Continue reading

Fact Checking Matt Damon’s ‘Promised Land’
I wasted $7.75 on Hollywood’s latest anti-fracking agitprop “Promised Land” (1) so you won’t have to. You can read movie reviews elsewhere. From what I’ve seen, they’ve been rather lukewarm. And in its first weekend of nationwide distribution, audience response … Continue reading
